Death of Death of the Weekend

It is with great joy that we announce our one year anniversary show of DEATH OF THE WEEKEND at iO West. It was with great sadness that we also announce this is the final DEATH OF THE WEEKEND SHOW. On March 3rd at 11pm in the MAIN ROOM, we’ll be doing our final standup show at iO. On Sundays, Feb 10th, 17th, and 24th we will be having our final shows in the Andy Dick DCT Theater. The final show is in the big room, with the big names, and the big goodbyes. (Lineup will be announced soon.)

I’ve had an amazing year booking DOTW and met several hundred killer comics through their performances on our cool little stage, including several of my closest friends. This has been one of the most fun, draining, beautiful, insane things I’ve ever been a part of, and I just wanted to thank every single one of you who ever came out to perform, watch, or just get drunk and weird. We turned a shitty open mic into a kick-ass weekly booked show and I hope you can make it out to one of our action-packed final nights.

Rick Wood and I will still be running a free monthly show, every first Monday, called TELL & SHOW out of the Lyric Hyperion Theater. The first few rounds have been awe-inspiring and the crowds have been doubling each time, so come check out our weird comedy experiment. Our next one takes place the night after our final DOTW: March 4th.

DOTW is coming to end is so that Rick and I can focus on an exciting film project and spend more time touring outside California. I cannot tell you what your support has meant to us, or to the comedy voices you have nurtured.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
